Dishwasher & Disposal Cost Calculator

Pick the appliance and the scope, and it returns the installed band from the cited dataset rows. The two honesty rules travel with every result: the scope you pick changes the band (labor-only ≠ with-appliance ≠ full replacement — $150–$300 vs an all-in install), and repair is a separate comparison from replacement — the calculator keeps them apart rather than blending one number. Disposal install runs $300–$600 (about $500 typical) with a replacement averaging $550 in a $200–$625 normal range.

The scope split, the install-vs-replacement table, and the repair decision in context: the full dishwasher installation guide.

Labor-only assumes you supply the dishwasher; with-appliance and replacement differ — compare like-for-like.

Estimate: $150 – $300 — from cited national bands, not a quote

Labor-only install — you supply the dishwasher. This is the install labor, not the appliance.

The with-appliance / all-in scope is $400–$1,500 (Fixr); Angi's captured all-in runs $1,000–$1,500, avg $1,200. Compare like-for-like.

Bands are per-source, never averaged. Labor-only, with-appliance, and replacement are different jobs — the scope label says which this is. Repair is a separate comparison from replacement. Get local written quotes before any work.

Why a selector is honest here

This category prices in named scopes and named jobs, so a selector that returns the scope's published band is stating exactly what the sources state. What it deliberately does not do: average Fixr's labor/all-in framing against Angi's professional-install framing (different scopes of the same job — each mode carries its own scope label), blend the repair band into the replacement band (repair is a separate comparison), or present a single-source row as if it were corroborated (the unit brand ladder is Fixr-only and labeled as such).

Provenance note, stated because it is unusual: the two Angi articles are Cloudflare-walled live, so their figures come from Wayback captures; Fixr's pages are fetched live. No third neutral publisher was captured for this category (Home Depot's disposal page returned 403 live, HomeGuide is Cloudflare-walled).

Estimate from cited national bands, not a quote. Removal/disposal, cabinet modifications, and jurisdiction-specific requirements ride on top — get local written quotes before any work.
