Door Cost Calculator (2026)

Updated October 2026

Pick a door type, the work (install, replacement, or repair), and a count. The default — one interior door, installed — returns $374–$697, the same figure the cost guide leads with (Fixr's published average range). Entry doors default to $1,353 typical ($975–$1,773).

Estimated job cost (1 × per door installed)

$374–$697

Per unit: $374–$697 (published average range — no single typical).

Figures are cited national installed ranges from the doors dataset, shown per source and never averaged. Actual cost varies by door, frame condition, hardware, and region — get local written quotes. No health or safety claim is made here.

How the estimate works

Each door type carries a published installed band (low–typical–high) from the doors dataset. The job figure is that band × the door count; where a publisher states only an average range (interior doors), no single typical is invented. Replacement mode uses the replacement rows (frame reuse); repair mode uses the repair row.

Bands are shown per source and never averaged. Scope matters: a standard door swap and a new rough opening are different jobs — the patio row keeps both scopes side by side in the dataset.
